Rev. Dr Sam Frye
Pastor Sam planted First Simple Church in 2012 with the vision of taking a simple Gospel message and the true church of Jesus Christ to the community. His passion includes teaching Christ Followers how to live out their faith, salvation, and testimony by sharing hope and biblical truth with the world; living it within their families, local church, and community. He conducts ongoing discipleship growth opportunities, teaching men and women how to lead their families biblically and how to exercise their spiritual gifts within the local church. Serving various ministries for nearly 30 years, he holds an earned D.Min., Pastoral Ministry; M.Div., Expository Preaching; M.A., Interdisciplinary Studies; and a B.S., Business Administration.
As a former Marine, he understands how blessed we are as a country and how we should not squander opportunities to change this world for Jesus. As a local police officer and chaplain, he shares the burdens of our men and women in blue and understands the sacrifices these families make on a daily basis to keep our neighborhoods safe. As a biker enthusiast, he knows all people groups need the saving power of Jesus Christ and he actively takes that message to the biker community.
Pastor Sam believes strongly in missions, and community outreach and involvement. He’s an active member of the local Crisis Negation Team, Critical Incident Stress Management team, and serves as a national board member for Law Enforcement United. He also serves on various district church leadership boards including District Board of Administration, District Board of Ministerial Development, and Church Multiplication and Discipleship.
